Resistance was futile this time, but it's the very least we can ask of the Democrats at this point. The vote was almost exactly along party lines except for veteran suck-up Joe Manchin III who saw, I guess, that Sessions was going to win no matter what, so he might as well please all the asshole Trump supporters back home in West Virginia. Here's hoping that brings out the anti-Trump vote to kick him to the curb in 2018.
It's worth noting that the Senate shut down Elizabeth Warren using Senate Rule XIX but the very next day allowed three male Senators to read the same text. In case you thought Mitch McConnell was really interested in civility in the Senate.
