NEW COMIC TUESDAYS AND FRIDAYS AND WHEN THE MOOD STRIKES
I wrote up the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb, also known as MOAB, jokingly referred to as the Mother Of All Bombs, back in 2014, when I got curious about the "daisy-cutter" bomb. I was horrified then and the United States hadn't even used it in combat.
Well, our military has used it now. They dropped it on a part of Afghanistan which I guess only has bad guys on it or something. Although it turns out I was misled about its destructive power—Wikipedia exaggerates a bit (or anyway it did back in 2014). The MOAB doesn't have a fatal radius of two miles; in fact it's a fair bit smaller. Little Boy's fatal blast radius was slightly less than a mile and a half, and a MOAB is much less powerful than that.
At the same time Our Fearless Leader, who went golfing for the umpteenth time this weekend, is warning North Korea that they'd better not test any more nuclear weapons, which North Korea is working on doing anyhow, which is upsetting China, which is, I probably don't need to tell you, really bad.
I'm sure everything will turn out fine and we'll all have a big laugh about this when we emerge from our bomb shelters in 2067.
