Trump is, as usual, throwing a Twitter tantrum about the Democrats, this time because they might not rubber-stamp his nominee for Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo. I'm sure he's a terrible choice but I'm not sure of the details yet; they'll come out. At the moment it's worth keeping him out of the State Department just on principle.
Hypocrisy should no longer surprise us and yet to have Trump crying obstruction given the Republican strategy of the past decade, on top of an administration which is simply not even attempting to fill the majority of its offices, is pretty bald-faced. Key ambassadors are just missing. Meanwhile the executive branch is rapidly denuding itself of leaves as everyone quits or is fired, often unceremoniously. At the same time, diseased cankers like Ronny Jackson keep smiling.
It's horrifying.
