I suppose there are worse industries but it seems that, in the U.S. at least, professional athletics make clear some of the starkest inequalities. While assholes like Dana White and Rob Walton get richer and richer, mooks give each other CTE in the hopes of one day retiring to their very own Chevrolet dealership or whatever. At the same time ticket prices have surged beyond all reason. (A quick check at time of writing and the very first tickets available -- not for the White House event, just a regular event -- start at $1458.) It's depressing.
